How to Clean a Whirlpool Bathtub
Whirlpool tub manufacturers recommend you clean your whirlpool tub once every six months. Over time, soap scum, body oils, and dirt can build up in your bathtub's pipes causing problems in water circulation. Therefore, it is essential to flush and clean your whirlpool bath regularly to maintain your tub correctly.
Here's how to flush your whirlpool tub:
1. Fill the tub with enough hot water to cover the jets. Bathtub Crescendo-CMYK-1
2. Add a half cup of household bleach and two teaspoons of low-foaming dishwater detergent, such as Cascade or Calgonite. Do not use foaming detergents since the tub's whirling action will fill your bathroom with bubbles.
3. Run the whirlpool for ten minutes.
4. Drain the tub and refill the tub again with cold water.
5. Run the tub's jets for another ten then drain.
The whirlpool tub is now clean. Repeat these cleaning procedures every six months to keep your tub clean and sanitary.
